A dedication…
My father was a skilled custom wood worker and craftsman from Southern Indiana, amongst many other things…an avid outdoorsman, a successful businessman, a respected politician…with an endless devotion to his family. He gave me my first film camera at 12 years old, a canon AE-1…the very camera he gifted my mother for their first anniversary. With camera in hand, I exploded into the creative visual world with my imagination and began shaping and refining my sense of color, composition and design. He built me a dark room in his woodshop to develop and print my bounty of photographs. Together we would build the frames for the photographs. It is here that the early seeds of my career in framing and art began. My father passed away in 2020 and Bywater Framing has become my labor of love in his honor. To dad, for all the skills, the business savvy and for the endless love and support.
